In a bizarre collaboration that challenges traditional predictions, the game developer has revealed an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Mission Revealed

According to the formal announcement, "An unusual confrontation pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where rumors of banned practices and fearsome metamorphoses resonate through the shadows." The storyline presents a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a clandestine sect.

The adventure focuses on "peculiar experiments and a fearsome foe" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Iconic Locations and Changes

The preview highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview finishes with a dramatic scene showing a character, probably the hostage, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Prizes and Extra Material

Players who successfully complete the mission will obtain an special katana alongside multiple items hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
