Former BBC Consultants Face Members of Parliament's Questioning Following Assertions of Partiality in Leaked Memo

"It is not my wish for the BBC leaning in any particular direction, I simply desire it neutral, fair and just," he states.

In response to a query if he thinks the BBC is structurally prejudiced, Prescott answers: "No, I do not. It is important to note, numerous aspects the BBC produces is exceptional - both factual and fictional shows."

However, he continues: "There is substantial tasks that must be undertaken at the British Broadcasting Corporation."

Another previous consultant British Broadcasting Corporation adviser examined by the group, Caroline Daniel, remarks she views the BBC with great importance and that it operates a "continuous process and active debate" on fluid and multifaceted subjects.

"Was the BBC prepared to engage in a genuine discussion and debate and take action?" she questions. "From my perspective, yes they were."
