Soccer Analyst Sutton Battles Artist Olly Murs in Top Flight Forecasts

Arsenal's ten-match victorious streak was ended by Sunderland prior to the international break, however will the Premier League leaders bounce back against local foes Tottenham this Sunday?

"{I feel like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this match," stated football expert Chris Sutton.

"Frank will try to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating finest this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's team typically still manage to win."

Sutton is making predictions for all 380 Premier League fixtures this term, against AI, readers and a variety of special visitors.

In the twelfth round, he faces singer Olly Murs, who is a United supporter.

The singer's new album, the new release, is available on Friday.

Football and Family Life

Olly is a skilled footballer as well as a successful artist and has been a featured player of multiple charity football matches over time - but he is not intending a serious comeback as a footballer.

"{I recently played in a charity game the other night for a mate of mine," he explained. "My team was trailing 3-1 when I came off in the second half, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you want!

"I continue to love football, but I injured my knee a few years ago and it even now hasn't fully recovered. I hope I could play more but the uncertainty of the game means it's too dangerous for me in my profession to do it properly again.

"Plus I am forty-one now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am preparing for the moment that my daughter or boy chooses to play instead."

The singer and his wife Amelia Tank have a young family, their daughter and Albert, and he is ready to follow in his father's footsteps by becoming their manager.

"I won't push football on our children but I've previously told my wife that if they do get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will likely be coaching their Saturday football side," he said.

"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I clearly owned a football club for a while too.

"My father coached with us when I was a child, which is likely where I inherited it. He managed our team for several years and had a wonderful time with it. That could be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"

Top Division Predictions

Saturday, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

Chelsea might have to be patient for their star's comeback from fitness issues but their offense is already stronger with Pedro and Liam Delap both returned to fitness.

In my opinion this fixture will be fairly close, however. Burnley are disciplined and their only home losses so far have been against the Reds and Arsenal.

This suggests a one-all draw to me, but I am actually going to choose Chelsea to edge it for what would be their third Premier League win in a row.

The expert's forecast: 1-2

Olly's prediction: The Blues will be superior. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's outlook: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Cherries have lost their previous couple games - albeit both of them were on the road - but they got absolutely spanked by Aston Villa last time out which shocked me.

In contrast, West Ham won two in a row before the hiatus and, although both of those games were at their stadium, they do look competitive again.

The Hammers' sole on the road victory this season came at Forest in August, when West Ham manager Nuno was previously that team's manager.

So, what on earth do I go with here - will it be West Ham extending their run under Nuno, or the home side responding?

I will choose Bournemouth, because I think what occurred against Villa was a anomaly.

The pundit's forecast: 2-0

Olly's prediction: Bournemouth are performing strongly but West Ham have improved under Nuno. 2-2

AI's prediction: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were seen as one of the frontrunners for relegation before the campaign began, but they have impressed a few observers under Keith Andrews and are in fine fettle with three in their past four matches.

A family member advised me to select Bees forward Thiago in my Fantasy Football squad a few weeks ago and, unfortunately, I didn't listen.

The forward will likely find the net again on Saturday but I am still not going to pick him or support the away side at Amex Stadium.

They have not had much fortune on the travel this season, and the Seagulls are always decent at home. The visitors will try to attack on the counter-attack but I think Fabian Hurzeler's team pose much more of a danger.

Sutton's forecast: 2-1

The singer's prediction: It could be one of those games where you think there is going to be a many scores but it in reality turns out to be rather close. 1-1

The computer's prediction: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a huge game for the Cottagers, who have lost five of their last six matches.

They have got plenty of quality in their team but it still seems like they could be dragged into a relegation battle.

As for Sunderland, well they are the unexpected success of the top flight season so far.

The away side's performance in the 2-2 tie with Arsenal last time out was superb. We've not seen any other team disrupt the North London side like that this term, and they were fully competitive for them.

The logical choice would be to back the visitors here, because they are clearly able of disrupting the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in this part of London, they defeated the Blues at the close of last month.

But I am not going to do that. Rather, I truly need to carry on opposing the away team with my predictions. I am taking a lot of responsibility for their good results because they clearly enjoy to defy my predictions.

Considering Fulham's at Craven Cottage record, the sole team they have lost to is the league leaders. Their manager's side will be extremely eager for a good outcome, so I am going to predict they will secure three much-needed points.

Sutton's prediction: 1-0

Olly's prediction: I know Sunderland are performing strongly and also that Fulham are on a poor run... but they have still been decent at home this campaign. 2-0

AI's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a tough fixture to predict. The Reds have lost seven of their last ten games in every tournament, but might they be one of the teams who benefit from the {international break|
