The Streaming Platform is Developing a Popular Game TV Show from the Minds of Alien: Earth and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

The latest action-packed game that gamers explored was Far Cry 6, which featured Giancarlo Esposito as the villain, Antón, and debuted on October 6, 2021. As a series, it is famous for delighting in violence and madness with the same excitement, all while presenting engaging, socially charged narratives. Little surprise that FX's new order for a Far Cry seasonal program pulled in two producers whose projects have exemplified all of those qualities.

Adapted from Ubisoft's successful video game property, the limited anthology series will stream on Hulu and will be created by FX Productions. The anthology will also follow the video games' structure by introducing a fresh setting and ensemble in subsequent series.

Creative Minds

Rob Mac, creator of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and Noah Hawley, the mind behind FX's Alien: Earth and Fargo, will act as showrunners on the series via their production banners, More Better Productions for Mac, and 26 Keys for Hawley. They will be accompanied by Emilia Serrano for 26 Keys, Nick Frenkel for 3 Arts, Jackie Cohn for More Better Productions, John Campisi, Gerard Guillemot, Margaret Boykin, and Austin Dill for Ubisoft Film & Television.

“FX has had magnificent relationships with Rob Mac and Noah Hawley for a combined six series and 32 seasons of television, and we couldn’t be more excited that they are joining forces for Far Cry,” said Nick Grad, President, FX Entertainment, in a news release. “I have no doubt that they will tell this story in a way that is original, compelling, and wildly entertaining. We also want to appreciate our associates at Ubisoft for placing confidence in us with this cherished property.”

Cast and Future Plans

Mac will also appear in the show, but currently, we are unsure of what character that might entail. Hawley's Alien: Earth was recently renewed for more episodes, with FX and Disney agreeing to a new overall deal with the showrunner.

A time frame for when we can anticipate the new Far Cry show has not been announced. The series will premiere on Hulu in the United States and on Disney Plus in other regions.
